SciQuest Has Done It Again with NextLevel 2014!

photo.JPGJust like last year, SciQuest has gone above and beyond while hosting NextLevel 2014! Located at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this year’s event had a record-setting 725 attendees, Olympic legend Mike Erozione as a keynote speaker, and presentations from the top leaders in the eProcurement industry.

PunchOut2Go joined forces with our partner Liaison Technologies. PO2Go’s CEO Brady Behrman set up shop with two of Liaison’s finest- Jim Cantrell, Director of Channel Programs, and Del Harris, Sales Executive. A veteran NextLevel attendee, Cantrell noted that, “Once again, SciQuest has put enormous effort in elevating the eProcurement community to the NextLevel.” The Vendor Showcase 2014 featured providers such as Dell, Office Depot, and of course our pals, Liaison Technologies, Roche, and SHI. Harris, this being his first time attending a NextLevel conference, was very impressed by the numerous prospects available for attendees and vendors alike: “For any organization that purchases goods and services and has an interest in driving spend to approved vendors, while looking to automate and accelerate the approval process, SciQuest NextLevel is definitely the place to be.” With educational break-out sessions covering a variety of topics like contract management, accounts payable, sourcing and supplier management, and the SciQuest University pre and post-conference training for newly introduced SciQuest products, SciQuest allows attendees to engage in educational opportunities that best benefit their individual needs.

PunchOut2Go and Liaison were very pleased to see presenters speak on the effects technology has on eProcurement. Specifically, the session presented by David Karakas at Biogen Idec titled ‘Implementing Sourcing Strategies Using Technology and Purchasing Best Practices’ where he discussed the difficulties organizations face while choosing which technology will assist them the most. As mentioned in an article by My Purchasing Center, Karakas said that when it comes to choosing the best approach to eProcurement, “there’s no easy way. You have to roll up your sleeves.” While we agree making these decisions are never simple, we can say that when you do decide to transition to a punchout catalog- we will make it easy.

At PunchOut2Go, attending NextLevel and similar procurement industry events is invaluable. These events help us familiarize ourselves with new and upcoming trends in the industry and network with like-minded companies. “Having the opportunity to meet in person with our current and potential clients, their customers, and buyers seeking support for their suppliers is an experience that generates great collaboration and conversation around procurement integrations. For me, it is easily the highlight of these events,” says Behrman. By leaving our doors open to suggestion, we are better suited to self-evaluate our current solutions and services in order to give our customers the latest and greatest punchout catalogs that meet their clients’ needs. We’ve found that buyers see tremendous value in partnering with PunchOut2Go to not only help their suppliers integrate, but to educate as well. It is this package of inventiveness and educational support that make our punchout catalog solutions easy.

That being said, be on the lookout for our upcoming webinar announcements in our blog. We appreciate the opportunity to share our knowledge with you and are always looking forward to meeting new people with fresh ideas.
